2017 Mâcon-Uchizy Les Maranches, Héritiers du Comte Lafon

Dominique bought this plot in 2003, consisting of one hectare of young vines (planted in 1999), and one hectare of old vines (planted in 1977). Many of the vines are from a special clone of Chardonnay known for its impressive aromatics. Planted on a south-east facing slope outside the town of Uchizy in the Macon, this is long and silky, with wonderful tension and vibrancy.
