Valmur is pressed up against Les Clos; the contour of its slope, where much faces northwest, make it slightly cooler than other parts of the grand cru. The wine has a salty seaspray edge to it. The scintillating line of acidity running through its length makes it one of the most complex in the line up.

Valmur has 35% oak in the blend. Pale lemon yellow. A broader fruit across the nose though still with some marine notes. There is impressive depth on the palate, everything in place, with an extra layer of fruit right at the back. The acidity holds up nicely. Drink from 2030-2035. Tasted Jun 2025.
The 2024 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru is another cuvée that is reticent at the moment. This has light chalk dust, petrichor scents and less in the way of fruit concentration. It's probably too austere for some. The palate is well balanced, with decent weight, touches of nectarine and citrus lemon and a dab of white pepper. This doesn't quite kick on toward the finish.
