William’s father planted some of these vines in 1948. Since then, the domaine has expanded its holdings, and it is now the largest owner of Chablis’ greatest site with over four hectares. Nevertheless, only five barrels were made in 2024. The wine is saturated in white peach, oyster brine, and limestone minerality. It is statuesque yet understated. This is truly grand cru in every sense.

4 hl/ha. Fresh pale colour. Didier has managed to deliver a classic Clos quality on the nose, pure white fruit, then more than adequate tension on the palate, just a bit of citrus, racy at the finish, a bit of lemon meringue, long and fulfilling. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Jul 2025.
The 2024 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru was reduced to four barrels from 3.5 hectares of vine. It has a fresh, sea spray-scented bouquet that just lacks the amplitude of a really great vintage, though this still has much to offer. The palate is well balanced with a citrus-fresh entry. It's a little linear and chalky in style, with a twist of sour lemon and grapefruit toward the finish. Fine.
