William Fèvre is one of Chablis’s most respected domaines and is credited with putting this region of Chardonnay vines, WIlliam began purchasing parcels of the region's Premier and Grand Cru vineyards that had fallen out of fashion. He quickly grew the estate to an impressive 50 hectares and established a fine reputation for his white Burgundy. He retired in 1998 and sold the estate to négociant Bouchard, who installed Didier Séguier as winemaker. Didier is an advocate for environmental sustainability and biodiversity, and his impeccable winemaking skills and enthusiasm for Chablis has driven the estate forwards. His aim is to be certified organic by 2024, alongside using biodynamic practices in the vineyard. Although William Fèvre sadly passed away in 2019, his legacy remains strong and the domaine continues to create long-lived, top-class Chablis.
