The oak helps give the palate structure and satisfying buttery depth, though the wine remains focused and nervous to the end.
A smoky nose of mineral reduction, grapefruit and oyster shell introduces dense and almost painfully intense flavors that are supported by citrus-tinged acidity on the powerful and focused finish. Though tightly wound at present, I suspect that this will flesh out relatively quickly.
