Old vines with an average age of 45 years old, Depaquit’s patch sits on top of the hill. Concentrated with notes of quince and flint, an oily richness and marked acidity, this is a serious Grand Cru, and was perhaps my favourite wine in the tasting – a tasting that included Moutonne.
