Charles Ballot's village Meursault is as complete a white Burgundy as you'll find in this excellent vintage. It's a blend of parcels from around the village, and shows 2023's gorgeously silky fruit, with layers of citrus flavours and fresh, saline lift.

Tasting notes

Mid lemon yellow. Not too much showing on the nose yet. Charles suggests that this needs a sulphur adjustment. Slight apple fermentation aromas. Middleweight with good persistence but needs freshening up. Half comes from Les Corbins plus Pelles and Chaumes de Narvaux and Peute Vignes. Drink from 2026-2029. Tasted Oct 2024.
