In the Ballot-Millot cellar, Genevrières and Perrières are usually only split by a hair, as is the case in 2023. They are both outstanding. The vines in Genevrières are over 80 years old, and have weathered the hot summers well. The wine has weight and persistence, gorgeous amplitude and fabulous length.

Fine pale lemon. The bouquet has the warmth of the vintage plus the habitual subtlety of Genevrières. A fine thread of stony lemon scented fruit through the middle, a slight warmth at the back, but good acidity. Just needs longer in elevage. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Oct 2024.
