2022 Puligny-Montrachet, Olivier Leflaive

2022 Puligny-Montrachet, Olivier Leflaive

You’d expect this wine to be one of the best in the stable: from home turf, made from a magnificent blend of 25 parcels from across the commune (seven of them the domaine’s own). It is one of the most complete and compelling portraits of the village you’ll find, and it’s a wine to remind you that these Olivier Leflaive wines are not only the most benchmark example of their appellations, but also some of the most exciting in their category. This is everything Puligny should be, and more: filigree, tight, nervous, and fabulously long.

Tasting notes

This cuvée covers all the village vineyards of Puligny except Charmes and Trézin, and all supplied in grapes. Pale colour, some floral notes but also quite a full fruit driven bouquet. An excellent steely core to this Puligny, with plenty of fruit concentration, and just the right acidity. Drink from 2026-2030. Tasted: October 2023.
