This is the fourth vintage for this lovely Gevrey from Alexandre Abel and his team at Domaine Ponsot. It comes from a half hectare parcel in the Les Epoitures lieu-dit, not far from Petite Chapelle. It was replanted in 2014 by Laurent Ponsot before his departure. Wonderfully aromatic nose with notes of violets, wild cherry, white pepper. Charming and already very approachable it offers a bright line of salinity, wild herbs. Crunchy red berry finish, a little mint too. It is difficult to resist.
