2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes, Domaine Felettig

2023 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes, Domaine Felettig

This is one of the best-known Premier Crus of Chambolle, and the domaine is lucky enough to have a tiny slice, just 0.17 hectares. The finish of this wine is supremely long in 2023, with a staggeringly pretty red fruit precision. It exudes effortless balance and concentration.

Tasting notes

The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuesselottes 1er Cru, using 30% whole bunch, has life-affirming purity on the nose with a mixture of red and blue fruit that blossoms in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with crunchy black and red fruit, gentle grip and fine tension with a surfeit of mineralité on the finish. This is excellent.

40% whole bunch vinification. A deep purple, with fresh raspberry fruit, not one of the coffee flavoured Feusselottes. Weight and charm on the palate, with a more savoury grain, darker fruit and quite some length. Drink from 2030-2036. Tasted Dec 2024.
