2023 Bourgogne Rouge, Comte Armand

2023 Bourgogne Rouge, Comte Armand

The grapes for this new négoce cuvée come from Saint-Sernin-du-Plain, next to Maranges. Vibrant, and packed full of pretty, floral red fruit with supple tannins. 40% whole bunch gives this a wonderful, spritely lift.

Tasting notes

St Sernin du Plain ex Caroline Bellavoine. Bought the grapes which were healthy enough to use 40% whole bunches. A deep and even crimson ruby. Very spicy on the palate, slightly sombre fruit with some blood orange, exceptional length. Bright fruit cheers up the finish. Drink from 2026-2028. Tasted Nov 2024.
