Tasting notes

The 2023 Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes 1er Cru has a classy, more complex bouquet than the preceding Nuits Saint-Georges cuvées, well-defined with slightly earthy dark berry fruit alongside hints of orange zest and marmalade. The palate is very smooth with a little more grip on the entry. This is beautifully balanced with a persistent and, again, silky-smooth finish that is irresistible. Superb.

A rich ruby purple colour, with an exuberant red fruit energy none of the torrefaction of some years. Excellent pure red fruit energy, good natural acidity, sensual cherries appearing now towards the back of the palate, with excellent length. Drink from 2030-2037. Tasted Nov 2024.
