You get the style and swagger of the Cathiard signature, with the open, accessible fruit of Bourgogne Rouge. It’s got abundant red berry notes on the nose, with a toasty kick from the new oak, and a long, satisfying length.

The 2023 Bourgogne Rouge has a crisp and very pure bouquet of perfumed red fruit. The palate is taut and fresh with redcurrant, cranberry and just a slight confit note on the finish. This Bourgogne Rouge has impressive weight and drinkability.
An attractive mid ruby. The raspberry fruit is immediately attractive but with a sense of grip. Attractive red berry fruit, a fair amount of oak given the moderate concentration of the vintage, then a fine easy finish. 30% new wood was used here and 40% for the Hautes Côtes de Nuits because of insufficient older barrels.
