There can’t be many village parcels with a better position than this. Indeed, the bottom half of the vineyard is premier cru. The top half runs above Les Fuées and meets with Bonnes-Mares at its northern edge. 40-50% whole-bunch gives it a vibrant, sweet-fruit energy, balancing the considerable concentration. Expertly judged.
A deep concentrated purple. The bouquet is less immediate than the Chambolle Vieilles Vignes, but with a more guarded intensity. Now some classic violet aromas emerge, while the whole bunch also gives an extra lift, adding that little tingle at the back. This is a very beautiful Chambolle, with exquisite persistence.
