2020 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d'Orveaux, Jean Grivot

2020 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d'Orveaux, Jean Grivot

This is always one of the prettiest in the Grivot cellar, and in 2020, it also has the structure and concentration to age gracefully. There is a sweet balance between the tannins and fruit, with fresh acidity and elegant body.

Tasting notes

The 2020 Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d’Orveau was showing a bit of reduction on the nose. Mulberry, light minty aromas begin to emerge with aeration although it does not quite click into fifth gear. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite a good backbone here that lends this a Morey-like personality. Dark berry fruit laced with black pepper and clove towards the finish. Fine.
