Beaux Monts is always one of the most impressive wines from this cellar. It is a beautiful vineyard in Vosne, and one of Etienne’s personal favourites. It is intense and energetic, with beautifully constructed tannins. The ageing potential is dialled up here. It is a wine of tremendous finesse already, but also one that promises much more in the years to come.

Tasting notes

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Les Beaux Monts 1er Cru has a classy bouquet with dark cherries, raspberry and violets scents, quintessential Les Beaux Monts. Very good vigour. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, fine acidity, taut and fresh with a very precise finish. Good backbone here, certainly with more depth than the Aux Brûlées on the finish. Superb.
