If you are looking for good value in Vosne-Romanée, you’re on the right track here. It comes from three well-placed parcels, including Aux Réas which extends on from the premier cru, along with La Colombière, and Au Dessus de la Rivière. It is dark and deep, with luscious black cherries on the palate and a smooth, creamy texture. This is a brilliant example of Burgundy’s most highly-prized village.
The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village showed a bit of reduction on the nose, which offers light red currant and strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a lot of sucrosity on the entry but fine acidity and candied orange peel on the finish.
