2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers, Domaine Stephane Magnien

The first vineyard you arrive at in Chambolle coming from Morey, and immediately down from Bonnes Mares on the hill. A quarter of the vines date to 1902, a quarter to 1980, and the rest were planted between 1950 and 1960. This is sweet and juicy, with lovely crunchy berries. So long, nervous, and balanced.

Domaine Stephane Magnien

With a tiny domaine of just 4.5ha of vines, Stéphane succeeded his father in 2008 and has been on the up ever since. Minimal new oak and light extractions ensure these wines are expressive and complex, with real finesse. We’re sure Stéphane’s star is only set to rise.
