2016 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru La Riotte, Domaine Taupenot-Merme
This plot of just over half a hectare is planted with 60+ year old vines. Just as a premier cru should be, this is like Romain’s village Morey, but a level up. There’s more concentration and intensity to that brambly fruit, with great freshness and lift on the finish.
