2015 Beaune Rouge 1er Cru Clos des Fèves, Domaine Chanson

Always considered a Tête de Cuveé, or top site, throughout history, the 2015 shows exactly why. There’s a dark, spicy, intense and complex nose, with a hint of a Demerara character about it. The palate is floral and fresh, with juiciness and real transparency of fruit on the long and pure finish. Overlook Beaune at your peril.

2015 Beaune Rouge 1er Cru Clos des Fèves, Domaine Chanson
Maison Chanson

At Domaine Chanson there is a clear balance between the old and new. The domaine's history is demonstrated by its fifteenth century cellars, situated in the historic centre of Beaune. Having been bought by Bollinger in the late 1990s, the estate has since undergone exciting improvements in both winery and vineyard, most notably turning to organic farming. They’re best known for the range of wines they make from the hillside above Beaune.
