On a south-facing slope, next to the exceptional Clos St-Jacques, this is a late ripening site benefitting from the cooling influence of air descending from the nearby Combes de Lavaux. The extra hang time brings a wonderful balance between intensity and freshness. Fairly reserved on the nose, with sweet spice and menthol and a tight frame of structural tannin, all hinting towards the potential of this true vin de garde.
