Romain Taupenot is the proud owner of some beautifully located vineyards, with the Combe d’Orveau the neighbour to Les Petits Musigny. Indeed, it has been suggested that this was not designated Grand Cru initially due to the reluctance of the then owner to pay the attendant higher taxes. This is sensuous, feminine Chambolle, perfectly balanced with wonderful depth and concentration.
