2014 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Arlaud

Cyprien's flair for wines that combine a wonderfully seductive, velvety texture with a gorgeous purity of fruit is very much showcased in this Grand Cru. Rounded, richly flavoured with a black fruit core and impressive power and length, this is a bargain Grand Cru, and is worth following year in, year out.

2014 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Domaine Arlaud
Domaine Arlaud

With the help of horses Nougat and Oka, Domaine Arlaud has been biodynamic since the 2009 vintage. The estate, founded by Joseph in the years after World War II, is now run by siblings Cyprien, Romain and Béatrice, the latter responsible for the equine employees. Whilst the wines have always been impressive, in recent years they have undoubtedly gained in detail and precision, reflecting their cerebral approach to winemaking.
