2013 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru, Domaine Chanson

The intensity of aromatics on this Chambertin Clos de Bèze is quite staggering. On the palate the fruit is sweet, profound and amazingly powerful. The tannins are very ripe and fruit-coated, however one cannot deny that they are also enormous, providing a structure for the very long term. On the long finish layer after layer of flavour is revealed, showing super complexity and giving just a hint of the wine this will one day become. Absolutely stunning!

2013 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru, Domaine Chanson
Maison Chanson

At Domaine Chanson there is a clear balance between the old and new. The domaine's history is demonstrated by its fifteenth century cellars, situated in the historic centre of Beaune. Having been bought by Bollinger in the late 1990s, the estate has since undergone exciting improvements in both winery and vineyard, most notably turning to organic farming. They’re best known for the range of wines they make from the hillside above Beaune.
