Situated at the northern end of Morey-St-Denis, Clos de la Roche is the largest of the four grand crus in the commune. Jadot have produced a robust, firmly structured and eminently ageworthy Clos de la Roche in 2012. The nose shows juicy black cherries and damsons with some gamey, meaty savoury notes. The palate opens on a note of fresh redcurrant fruit, and fills out on the mid-palate becoming fuller and richer with exotic spice box and mocha chocolate supported by sturdy tannins that give plenty of grip on a long, savoury finish.
