Benjamin told us that there is no Pommard 1er Cru for 2012 as all the fruit has gone into the making of the Epeneaux and when bottled it will be sold exclusively in magnums. Extreme structure, huge complexity of flavour, tannin and acidity. The power of the wine is immense and clearly needs time; this will be wonderful especially after ageing in magnum.
