2012 Marsannay, Marchand-Tawse

Still fruit driven, with fine tannins and beautiful acidity, this is an outstanding Pinot Noir, now at 5 years of age. There's a touch of development on the palate, with notes of cured meat and dried cherries slowly appearing. Long and remarkably precise for a wine of this price, it's perfect for drinking now.

2012 Marsannay, Marchand-Tawse
Domaine Marchand-Tawse

Domaine Tawse is the part of the Marchand-Tawse stable that owns vineyards, including the Gevrey-Chambertin based Domaine Maume, purchased in 2013. Englishman Mark Fincham is responsible for these wines, including beautiful holdings of Mazis-Chambertin, and the wines here improve every year, including low-sulphur bottlings, and wines that demonstrate the array of Burgundy’s terroirs.
