2011 Corton Grand Cru, Maison Roche de Bellene

Quite possibly the best value Grand Cru Red Burgundy available anywhere! This Corton shows great depth of flavour, abundant power on the mid-palate, with a touch of white chocolate bringing a satin quality to the texture. Plenty of acidity and tannins give it age-worthiness and as they are in perfect balance with the fruit, the lasting feeling is one of harmony.

2011 Corton Grand Cru, Maison Roche de Bellene
Nicolas Potel

In 2005, Nicolas built up his own Estate, Domaine de Bellene, in the Côte de Beaune. Then in 2008 launched his new negociant business called "Maison Roche de Bellene" which also includes a range of very rare older vintages, under the name "Collection Bellenum". These wines, dating back to 1959 are the result of a very strict selection of old vintages exceptionally released from the wine cellars of some of the most famous producers of Burgundy.
