Maxime has used 25% whole bunch fermentation in this wine, a practice that has become quite popular in Burgundy over the last decade. The nose is a little more reserved than the 1er Crus, but shows some bright berry fruit and a touch of spice. Tightly-wound on the palate, this shows its potential with firm finely-expressed tannins underpinning a core of soft red fruits.
