This 1er Cru site is owned in its entirety by Domaine Chanson and they are justifiably very proud of the wines it produces. Bright, fragrant red berry fruit is to the fore on the nose, with just a hint of violet florality. The palate is taut and toned, with fine tannins and a vein of minerality providing structure and backbone to a softly-realised plum and berry fruit core. Well-balanced and very attractive, this is an expressive and delicious Côte de Beaune.
