2011 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru, Georges Mugneret-Gibourg

This is the last vintage for this ‘baby Ruchottes’, made from vines planted in 2000, as the fruit will be included in the 2012 vintage of the Grand Cru. This is a serious wine with full fruit flavours at the fore and an excellent taut and linear structure providing a mineral core. There is an added suppleness from the silky, rounded tannins.
