2011 Vosne-Romanée, Sylvain Cathiard

Attractive on the nose, notes of dark berry fruit coming through alongside hints of white flowers and spice. The palate is softly rounded, with the core of hedgerow fruit given direction and substance by creamy tannins and a vein of linear minerality. The finish is long and appealing, finishing with a pretty floral note. Benchmark, feminine Vosne.
