"Chaignots" comes from the word ‘chasne’, old French for chêne (oak), meaning that there were originally oak trees in this area. This was one of the most impressive Nuits we tasted. Intense ripe, black cherry fruit with notes of clove and anise. Full, round flavours and ripe, chewy tannins crescendo into a generous and mouth staining finish.
