2005 Volnay 1er Cru Frémiet, Marquis d'Angerville

A Volnay with a dazzling clarity of scents and flavours. 2005 is a fabulous year
for Volnay and d’Angerville's wines display the seductive charm of the village's
wines at their most compelling. Located adjacent to the Pommard border, the
Frémiets vineyard produces wines that have a sturdier character than usually
seen in Volnay. In great years though, this is more than balanced by luxurious
fruit. D’Angerville's 2005 Frémiets is a beauty - a ripe, fruit-laden Pinot that
flows effortlessly from start to its long, lingering finish.
