2003 Pommard 1er Cru Clos des Epeneaux, Comte Armand

Shows bright purple in the glass and reveals intense, concentrated ripe fruit characters, the hallmark of the vintage. This is a lovely rich pommard, supported by classically-weighted fine, ripe tannins.

2003 Pommard 1er Cru Clos des Epeneaux, Comte Armand
Domaine Comte Armand

With the Clos des Epeneaux in the hands of the Comte Armand since 1826, this estate celebrates a rich and successful history. 2014 was young Beaune native Paul Zinetti’s first vintage at the helm of the estate, and in the years to come he’s certain to grow in renown and stature. Here is a winemaker with a golden touch and high aspirations, not least to see the Epeneaux climat awarded grand cru classification. We look forward to seeing how the wines of Comte Armand develop.
