The 2015 Y de Château d'Yquem is a blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon. This is really serious on the nose, with ripe, pithy grapefruit, and so much floral complexity. It's the weight on the palate where this really stands out. The level of concentration and extract gives away the Y's Yquem roots. For lovers of Sauvignon Blanc, and for white Bordeaux blends, this is the benchmark: a wonderful dry white, that's a pure reflection of a practically perfect vintage at this great address.
