2007 Château Rieussec, Cru Classé Sauternes

A property owned by the Rothschilds of Lafite, winemaker Charles Chevalier is very pleased with the result achieved in 2007. Picking of Sauvignon Blanc commenced on the 11th September, whilst picking of Semillon (87% of the harvest) began a few days later but was not completed until 16th November. This early view of an approximate blend reveals a veritable basket of tropical fruit flavours. A layered, broad, complex sauternes that we expect to age well.
