Intense tannins, high phenolic extraction giving structure and power, along with aniseed-edged knitted-down tannins that will need time to uncurl. This is undoubtedly a Rahoul with concentration and impact. A little subdued and closes in on the finish, potential for ageing.
The 2022 Château Rahoul should be outstanding, with impressive red, blue, and black fruits as well as notes of scorched earth and graphite. Medium-bodied on the palate and balanced, with ripe tannins, it has tons to love.
Notes of blackcurrants, walnuts and spicy herbs with medium body and firm tannin structure. Precise and linear with a polished finish. Refined and mineral at the end.
The 2022 Rahoul is a bold, punchy Graves. Hints of leather, tobacco, scorched earth and incense lend savory complexity to this potent, driving red. Rahoul has a ton to offer in a style that is classic Graves. This year's version includes 36% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Petit Verdot, which really drives the savory profile and overall feel. Tasted two times.
