The 2019 Branas Grand Poujeaux is delicious and incredible value. It’s full of left bank character with cassis and blackberry fruit, a floral violet note on the nose and fresh, appetising acidity. There’s plenty of breadth and velvet texture on the palate and hints of earthy complexity developing. It really does punch above its weight, you could easily mistake it for a Grand Cru Classé.
