Quite a smoky nose with notes of tobacco and ripe green pepper. There is excellent freshness to the ripe palate, with rounded tannins and that continued smokiness. Excellent value, this, from François Nony – we tasted a range of back vintages going back to 1983, and the wines hold up very well.
