Always one of the most elegant and sophisticated wines at the Margaux tasting, 2012 is no exception. It displays a gorgeous, floral nose, with notes of raspberry, cassis and violet. The palate is perfectly balanced, with juicy fruit surrounded by ripe, fine-grained tannins. The oak has been well-judged, giving a wine that is all about purity of fruit and expression of terroir. A charming wine that will drink relatively early, but has the stuffing to age well too.
