The ripe damson and fruitcake laden nose has a top note of dark chocolate whilst there is lively acidity and freshness to the front palate which is filled out with plump and fleshy plum fruit and a touch of spice. Tannins are fine grained and velvety in texture, the lasting impression is one of elegance, balance and refinement.
