The blend is 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. Like the Château Margaux it is completely opaque, with bruised purple fruit characters, great concentration and a balanced sweet / savoury combination, allied to the coconut aromas of new oak. Noticeable acidity gives freshness and a great aging potential. This is certainly on a par with the first wine at many properties.
