2009 Château Le Tertre Roteboeuf, Grand Cru St-Emilion

François Mitjaville rates this above the 2000 and the 2005. This is a huge wine with an almost Port-like concentration, yet still with great finesse. Notes of graphite, blueberry and crème de cassis, some liquorice and toasty new oak. Lots of dry extract and ripe tannin here, this needs time, but should turn into something truly special.
