2009 Château La Conseillante, Pomerol

This is great Pomerol, intense, velvety and fresh, with notes of raspberry, black pepper and graphite. A glossy and polished wine, with a perfumed, floral core of black fruits and a lovely mineral vein. Long and attractive on the multi-dimensional finish, with subtle notes of toasty oak. Conseillante is always handled in a sensitive way, with this vintage being no exception. Undoubtedly one of the best wines we tasted in this appellation.
