2009 Château Lagrange, Cru Classé St-Julien

2009 Château Lagrange, Cru Classé St-Julien

While the nose is quite closed, there is a gradual unfolding of clearly ripe fresh fruit with a slight minty edge. The palate is beautifully layered and of supple, almost velvety texture. A fine concentration of black and red fruit graces the palate and is sustained by a soft but long acidity. This is finely balanced St-Julien, with a good core of fruit and ripe tannins giving a fine-grained, fruit skin grip on the finish.
