2009 Château La Lagune, Cru Classé Haut-Médoc

Thanks to huge investment in both vineyard and winery from M. Frey, La Lagune is improving with every vintage. With notes crushed bramble fruit, woodsmoke and violets on the nose, this is really enticing. The palate has a rich, firm feel, with sweet, grippy tannin, lots of black berry fruit and a long complex finish of vanilla and liquorice.
