The second wine from top St-Estèphe property, Château Montrose. Made from an atypical 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, it is closed at present, but what is on show is attractive. A pretty, orange-peel-scented character on the mouth, with attractive weight and acidity. The high Merlot content shows itself in a softer finish than many.
