Restrained dark fruit on the nose, with gentle creamy notes. On the palate the fruit characters come through, with plum and black fruit flavours and a ripe, but accessible tannin structure. A charming Clos du Marquis that clearly benefits from the higher proportion of Merlot (41%) in the blend, leading to a wine that is gently mouth-filling with a juicy succulence on the finish.
